Aortic aneurisms aren't one of the four acute aortic cyndromesh. They occur due to degeneration of the aotic wall, which results in a bulging of the wall. And so, maybe unsurprisingly, by having an aneurism associated with this weakened vessel wall, we also increase our chance of a dissection.
