Gold Didn't Perform Well During the Great Financial Crisis
We are living a global currency debasement situation in which the monetary insanity has gone so far that the only way in which it floats is slowly and at the same time. The idea that there's no contagion risk, I don't need to tell people to go back to 2008 to 2001. Is there anyone who's better positioned? In what countries would we not see the same extreme asset liability mismatch in banking that we've seen in the US? But if you think about it less about banking and more about bond bubbles bursting, it's going to happen everywhere.
