Two negative quarters of growth consecutively is the definition of a recession. What d recessions really do? They allow capital to be reallocated from companies it's not serving. It frees up labor and projects that don't serve anyone, which pops bubbles. The only monitary policy you have to combat inflation is to increase the fed fund rate.
