Lift CEO David Risher drove for the company in April 2023 as well. The company left posted a video on its own Twitter account in which Risher gushed about his driving experience complete with a photo montage of him with happy passengers. Risher became CEO just a few weeks after the video was posted and immediately announced that lift had plans to lay off at least 1200 employees. "There's always this kind of, again, there's this menacing subtext of finding ways of increasing efficiencies," he says.
