Shame is often, I know that you know that I've sinned against the standard. That's one of the ways you can maybe define it. And yet in Chapter 54, God says to his people through Isaiah, if you're not, you will not be ashamed. You will forget the shame of your youth and the fact that you were abandoned at one point. This is the Book of Comfort, and it's just God's promise.
