In 18 29, the state of georgia passed the anti literacy laws. The black coalts literally were meant to mimic the wole of domain that slavery had on what we now are called as african americans. In 19 18, my grandmother was born in the midst of enactment of the jim crow laws. And so i saw her shift from this woman who wasn't just ta stay at home ma'am,. That insured lunch was on the table, even at the age of 65 and that insured that dinner was there...I watched her grow as a woman.
