Prayer and the Study of Divine Revelation
In our own personal prayer time, we ought to have some sort of input scripture or some spiritual book based on divine revelation. The life of a saint or religious art oght to serve as a launching pad for prayer. God can certainly raise us to higher degrees of prayer that are not dependent on meditation by infusing a supernatural light of contemplation. But we should always leave it to god to do that kind of thing, right?
