The Cold War and the War on the Moon

When World War two ended in 1945 tensions bubbled up between the Western block and the Eastern block led by their superpower, the Soviet Union. While no direct war is ever fought during the Cold War, there are lots of proxy wars playing the tech. It's basically like two powerful nations trying to show each other up. They really want to see who can get to outer space first and who can accomplish the most impressive space related feats.
