The Confusion of Britishness and Britain
The level of doubling down on your claim to British identity if you're British ethnic minority is extremely strong. I'm not sure if other minority migrant communities have quite as much sort of confidence that they own in the frame of the identity. There's an allergy to race data and then the presence of professional public life is higher. That will come through. It's all kind of unresolved. Is it the UK? Is it Britain? Is it England? Is it Scotland? Is it Wales?
