Rome is growing unchecked and these little leftover empires, Alexander's generals, they're all failing. They're all collapsing under the increased pressure of Rome with the exception of the Tolamids in Egypt. Pompeii shows up to go and quote unquote help out the Hasmoneans who were having a tough time with some flailing leadership over there.
