What Are SPACs?

In 2021, there were 613 newly formed SPACs that raised about $162 billion of capital. These are non-operating publicly-listed companies whose purpose is to identify and purchase a private company. I've owned them, but I don't own any currently because they're not a very good investment, in my opinion.
