Service Mesh - What Is It and How Does It Facilitate Microservices?

Rahul: Service mesh provides a policy based and the services first network that addresses EastWest which is the service to service networking concerns. It takes care of concerns like security, resiliency or serverability so that services can communicate with each other while offloading all of these network related concerns to the platform. Rahul: Some people might be thinking that sounds an awful lot like an API gateway that service the concept of service discovery and routing requests to the correct microservice.
