The Musical Language of Culture
We all have the innate ability to speak any lan riht. But as we grow and we hear other people talking, we learn to speak english. And then at a certain point, if we learn french, we're going to speak it with an accent. It so really is very much akin to that, that by the end of the first year, and especially by theend of the second year, the musical language that were in culture ed to gets a little bit locked. The idea of improvisation being such an integral part of rock and jaz a also comes from african practice. So these are all things that are normal and unique to the american musical culture.
