How to Smile After a Trauma Event
If you're anxious or agitated, it's important to know that you can change your arousal system and calm yourself down. Simply make sounds. Change the pitch and the volume until you experience a pleasant vibration in your face. You also want to look at your nervous system and self-regulate it. In order to heal from psychological or emotional trauma, you need to resolve the unpleasant feelings and memories you've long avoided.
