Building Strength Over Time Is a Must for Beginners
You want to be building strength over time. So you're going for progressive overload, um, probably in lower rep ranges. There's a style of training called five by five where you do five sets of five reps bench press squat, deadlift and then add two and a half pounds the next time you do the lift. And you just work up like that. I mean, when you're a bagel though, especially if you're coming in from being somebody who has very little experience of exercise... You have to get quite serious about it.
