Ishtar and Aphrodite?
Ishtar had religious functionaries called asine, translated as womb men. Historians sometimes describe them as feminine, presenting sis gender women. But what about aphrodite herself? Despite aphrodite's more well known depiction as sis gender, the trans tradition absolutely did carry forward into worship of aphrodite in the ancient greek world. I believe that the aphrodite, aphrodites paring can be more accurately described, not as a female male pairing, but as a sisgender and trans gender pairing, both women.
