The Parthonon and the Hellenistic Period
The parthonon came to be a symbol of Athenian imperialism at the time. It was potentially funded if not all of it by the dean in league and during the great panatheniah which every four years the Athenians insisted that their allies in inverted commas were present there. Plutarch even says that the parthon on becomes a bordello for a horny warlord. What's happening with the goal that's on Athena's statue? More than likely these warlords these Hellenistic kings that are moving through Athens are helping themselves to this goal.
