Design and Product Relationship Skills

The bigg source of conflict is that both product and design feel like they represent the customer. Both groups do represent the customer, just in different ways. When you're building an ap you likely don't care as much about its long lasting or environmentally friendly nature. But when a designer gives you a wire frame prototype or mock up and asks what you think, these criteria give you a way to provide thoughtful and precise feedback.
