Molecules are ultimately just a electron densities. The nucleus of an atom is bonded to another atom. So there it's like a fuzzy cloud of places where the electron is likely to be depending on what the nuclei of those atoms are. In a given molecule, you can sort of have regions of higher or lower electron density.
