Many people are only happy to support Putin's foreign policy and this war from the comfort of their own living rooms. They do not want to go and die for the reasons that are unclear to them. He seems blind to his own imperialism. There are people on the left in the UK and in the West generally, he also seen blind to the facts of hello Russian imperialism. It's a thing historically as the USSR testifies. But as his invasion of Ukraine testifies now and whether people want to die in pursuit of Russian expansionism is another question altogether.
