The Definition of an Electrolyte

An electrolyte is something that it's these ions, these charged particles in solution. sodium and potassium are the really big ones when we're talking about for dehydration and cell function. There needs to be some sort of a difference in order for these cells to become excitable for them to work. So if that gets messed up with your hydration, basically in hyponatremia, where water then now starts to move inside and that's not charged,. right?
