Nixon's Air War Over Cambodia

Nixon ordered the carpet bombing of Cambodia well over a year before he gave this speech to the US public. More than twice as many bombs were dropped on Cambodia, still officially a neutral country in this conflict, than was dropped on Japan in all of World War II. Many of these thousands of bombing raids over Cambodia were indiscriminate and inaccurate, causing thousands of civilian casualties. Estimates range from between 10,000 to 150,000 innocent people lost their lives.
