Is the Proximate Sign of Satiation a Gastric Distension Function?

Stomach distension is an important determinate of the satiating and satiety promoting properties of food. If you have a food that has more volume per calories, fills up your stomach more. That goes up to your brain stem, and that's a signal that opposes further food. Some more protein is more satiating per calory palatability. The better something tastes, the less it fills you up per calory. Both strongly correlated with lower society.
