Can Dogs See Colour?

A dog has structures in it that split the incoming air into two streams, one of which goes into its lungs and is for breathing. The second stream - almost entirely used for smell - fills up their snout when they exhale. Dogs are also more skilled at using their nose for things we can't use our noses for like navigation or social connections. They have three kinds of colour sensing cells, and er that gives us a visual spectrum that runs red to violet.
