The biggest difference between Microsoft and Google was the tooling when I was at Microsoft it was in 2007 to 2010 and we didn't have like really any tooling around code reviews you would just send a diff over email to somebody. When I got to Google it was a few years later and they had much better tooling so that Microsoft now has better tooling, he says.
