The Role of China in the Emerging Economic Powerhouses
Becker: The world is in a fundamental shift. One empire, the American, is declining. We don't know yet whether we should call it the Chinese empire or the bricks empire. But it is clear which way the directions are going and it is clear for everyone in the world with a very few exceptions. They keep talking as though the United States was the world global powerhouse. It isn't anymore. And what we have to face is that they called it out from New England to the Southwest and so on. Well, now we're going to have to leave it right there.
