The Case of Susan's Head Injury
At 6.43 a.m., an emergency call came through to 9-1-1. Haley had never seen her mother in such a state. She rushed in and attempted to rouse her, but Susan didn't react. The possibility Susan was electrocuted didn't seem likely. There were no visible burn marks on her body or signs of trauma. Doctors considered if her headaches indicated a serious undiagnosed health problem,. perhaps a tumor, stroke or aneurysm. But it was hard to tell. Her symptoms didn't line up perfectly with any suggested diagnosis. Making matters worse was the sheer speed Susan was deteriorating.
