After two years, he leaves brazil and comes back to his people to save them. The first thing he does is reassert control. He left the church under management of a few of his assistant pastors. They were more conventional, you know, by the book american christians, than he was. His social goals and politics weren't their focus. When he's backed into a corner, he comes out swinging. You see it here after he returns from bBrazil. And you'll see it a few more times when he's pushed into a place where,you know, often by his own making, it looks like it might just be time to pack it up for him.
