Minnie may had come down with croup. Her parents were also away in town, and their young baby sister didn't know what to do - but anne did. Matthew went to fetch the doctor, and anne followed diana home through the cold. The two little girls later had a wearisome and dramatic parting by the dryads bubble. Anne made the decision to go back to school so she would at least be able to see diana,. even if they couldn't speak.
