How Do We Know That We Know Christ?
Jesus death covers our sins like the covering of the ark from which the word is taken. In this capacity, jesus saves all humanity from destruction. John moves on to the question of how we know that we know christ? The answer is by keeping his commandments. It is confidence in this that enables us to step out into the light.
