The Woman Who Disappeared
The short story in the book is actually about an aging academic who disappears. And it was a statement about aging and about how the older you get in society, you no one sees you. Imagine if people could actually walk a day in your shoes as you a black woman. It is an extraordinary opportunity for empathy.
