Capitalism is really based on workers being economically insecure in some fundamental way. If you reduce workers in the economy you're reducing the ability of the market ostensibly use prices to allocate resources efficiently. The capitalist era coming to the close as Keynes felt and needing us to radically shrink labor supply which would harken right uh collapse or retreat, he says.
