What Is the Principal Author of Sacred Scripture?
Thomas says that the principal author of sacred scripture is the holy spirit, who has understood more than may be exposited or discerned by the interpreters. And in addition to that, the entire causal nixis of created space and time so that scripture can speak in ways that are that cannot be comprehended by any of its interpreters. It's like a midway point between reading, through which the god speaks to us, and prayer, which we speak to god. To understand this, what he's doing here, you just have to think very concretely about what is happening.
