Collaborative Consumption Versus Sharing Economy
In the sharing economy, we're not really owning things. We are collaborating and using them. You might subscribe to Rent the Runway and you pay a monthly fee in exchange for that. This is that you have to return the former one before you get the next one sent to you. And so in this sense, you look like you have a fabulous wardrobe, but actually you just have access to it as long as you pay your subscription fees. That's not like a collection of actual handbags that you can keep on a shelf and they will remain there.
