Quate mechanics was developed by lotsf of physicists, mainly in the 19 ties. Erwin schrodinger came up with an equation which is named after him. Schrodinger never actually put a cat in a box. It was something that he, hehe came up with to show just how crazyn i wasn and his discomfort with it. He said we are quite happy to talk about things like that happening down at the level of atoms. We're talking about cats here. And if the fate of the cat now intertwined with the atom, then the cat must also be dead and alive at the same time until you opened the box. You never open the box and see dead and alive
