The Unreality of Reality
17-year-old Gatsby had been working on Lake Superior as a clam digger and salmon-fisher. His heart was in a constant turbulent riot; the most grotesque and fantastic haunted him at night. For a while these reveries provided an outlet for his imagination. There are satisfactory hint of the unreality of reality. A promise that the rock of the world was founded securely on a fairy's wing.
