Introduction
The National Park Service says 1.1 million people attended Socrates and City's event at the Union League Club in New York last night. The meeting was a joint effort of Alice von Hillabrand, Ariane Waggle-Brockman and others to raise awareness about race relations between whites and blacks. "I don't know what they were doing out there, they are still doing it," said former President George H.W. Bush during an interview with CNN earlier this year.
