Last Bennett standing is the oldest sister Jane. She and Elizabeth get along really well she is very nice to everybody and very well liked. There's this guy named George Wickham who everybody likes initially but then it becomes clear that he's kind of a shister. He and Lydia run off but don't get married and we'll only get married if the Bennett family will pay off all the debt that he is accrued oh which is a lot of debt no so to get back to Mrs. Bennett like she is the ultimate example I think of her silliness are that Wickham does this with Lydia in the book.
This week, we take another run at Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice is, in Andrew's words, "a book where a bunch of people eventually get married to each other.
"It's also more than that, of course—it gives us an opportunity to talk about class, wealth, social standing, love, the institution of marriage, Milton Bradley jingles, and one Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy (Fitzy to his friends).
