The Legacy of Parents
Marriage is intended in the theology of the body not merely for biological procreation, but because by that this gift from nothingness into existence gets propagated and passed on to yet another generation. And they too are then called to the Trinitarian communion with the Trinitarian persons. In some ways, John Paul would say that the legacy of parents is much more than simply what your kids do or what they achieve in this life. The legacy becomes eternal when your children are enjoying the beatific vision of God in the eternal communion. That's the legacy every parent should want.
