Airships, You Know? Yeah, That's Right.
The fact that modern or 20th century U.S.O. believers embrace the airships as, you know, a possible early U.s.O. thing almost gives the game away because it's so steampunk-y. But they match the technology of the time. Nobody in the 1890s says alien. If they do bring up visitors from another world, there's only one world they're even talking about and that's Mars. It's not a coincidence that people would think that it's Mars.
