And what i think calvinist, including jacob, is doing is here just assuming that a person quotin spiritually dead can't respond even to life giving truth. Where does the bible clearly tell us this? You can't just go to a passage that talks about his being dead, comparing it to christ, and therefore just assume it must be mean inability to respond to god's life-giving truth
