Growth Is the Only Mechanism Available to Reduce Poverty

Oge sartak: All numbers, all counting exercises are essentially political. Growth is the only mechanism available to reduce poverty on a large scale rate. We know for the last ten years that our growth has slowed down. So from that angle, we should be expecting poverty, the decline in poverty, to not be at the same rate as it was in between two thousand three to two thousand eight rates. And i guess i'll reiterate towards the end that finally, growth is theOnly mechanism through which large scale poverty can be reduced. There's no question about it.
