The Occamist strategy is named for the medieval philosopher, William of Occam. It's not clear to me that Occam himself would really be thrilled with the view that people now call Occamism. He was more concerned about theological fatalism. So he was worried about the fact that if God is inside time, it seems as if God knows what I'm going to do before I do it.
