The Importance of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is hard for us because it necessarily involves all sorts of displeasing predicates. Christianity is really neither about affirmation or accusation but absolution. And I think that forgiveness is in fact a foreign word to us. It feels like something I sometimes want but when other people need it for me I'm always afraid they'll abuse it. You know so I need to cope with the message of forgiveness over a lifetime.
