Elton john was an advocate and activist for the l g b t c plus community then, er, just as he is now. He recognized that ryan white, his story was different because he contracted h i v from a blood trans fusion, and he was a kid. Elton learned of ryan's love for me. And so he introduced me to ryan. A, and ryan and i became very good friends. So asking me to kiss him on the donahue show came from from a a very deep love for each other.
