Never wire money outside of escrow. It's really the only way you're protected as an investor. Meet the key people in your market. Go to the meetups. Even if you're working in nine to five, there's a dinner meeting or something at lunch. If you're not touching probably one of each of those three every week, you're really going to struggle to move the business forward.
