I think it's entirely possible for players to have a huge impact on a franchise as Valenzuela did without you know eventually putting up the kinds of counting statistics in a career that get you in the hall. I'm not a fan but yeah certainly as a trailblazer as someone who's significant to the sport and a really good pitcher and player period especially early in his career.
