The Preppy Handbook and Its Importance
In the 80s, we were just kind of like, screw it, we're just going to say it. Like you could buy into this culture. The preppy boom was evidence that maybe consumers did not want the neon and the hairspray. Maybe they wanted something a little more neutral, a little more serious. All together, it made Ivy seem like the look of all romantic times past across all decades.
