Is It a Good Idea to Generalize a Condition?
A number of studies that were bizarred to generalize from, like one was, i think it was 13 kids with a carriete condition. And the effect sizes were all based on small samples too. Another scientist wanted to replicate this to big fan of arthur yinsen. So he found a sample of four thousand 462 to look at thisand it was bigger than the entire published literature on the subject. He got one sample bigger than everything, with better measures of nerve conduction velocity, better measures of intelligence, and found that the real correlation was about zero point one.
