The Importance of Interval Training

A coach for the Norwegian Cross Country ski team said that threshold training was too little gain for too much pain. That really struck me because I had come from the United States where it was almost the standard model to find your lactate threshold and then spend a lot of time there. So this, this coach, he challenged my conventional wisdom on that. And that kind of was part of the impetus for me to say, they're doing something right.
